LockDirect Dispatch Ltd ("LockDirect", "we", "us") is a locksmith-dispatch service operating across Greater Manchester. Our registered office is in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

When you request a locksmith through this site (by submitting the dispatch form, calling, or messaging us on WhatsApp), we collect:

• Your name (optional on the form, but useful so the engineer knows who to ask for)
• Your postcode — so we can route the nearest engineer
• Your phone number — so the dispatcher can call you back
• The service you need and a short description of the problem
• Time of submission and the page you submitted from

We do not ask for payment details, email addresses, or any identification documents on this website. Payment is taken in person by the engineer at the end of the job.

3. How we use your data

The only reason we collect this data is to provide the locksmith service you've asked for:

1. Routing the job to the nearest available engineer in our network
2. Calling you back to confirm details and provide a fixed quote
3. Sending the engineer to your location with the right information to do the job
4. Following up if there's an issue with the work (covered by our 12-month guarantee)

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to fulfilling your callout — unless you've separately given us explicit permission to.

4. Who we share your data with

We share the minimum data needed with:

• The assigned engineer in our locksmith network (your name, address/postcode, phone, and problem description)
• Web3Forms, the form-handling service that delivers your submission to our dispatch inbox (their privacy notice is at web3forms.com/privacy-policy)
• Our hosting provider, who stores the website itself but does not have routine access to form submissions

We will only share data beyond this if we are required by law (e.g. by court order, police request, or HMRC).

5. How long we keep your data

Job records are kept for 6 years to comply with UK accounting and tax requirements, and so we can honour the 12-month workmanship guarantee. After that, records are deleted or fully anonymised.

Unsuccessful or cancelled enquiries (where no job was carried out) are deleted within 3 months.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to the 6-year accounting retention above)
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we've handled your data wrongly
