This site keeps cookie use to an absolute minimum. We don't track you with advertising cookies. We don't build profiles. We don't sell your data to anyone.
If all you want to know: we use essential cookies needed for the site to function (none collect personal data), and we load a small number of third-party resources (Google Fonts and OpenStreetMap embed) which set their own cookies under their own terms.
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It can be used to remember you between visits, keep you signed in, or track usage. There are also "local storage" entries (a similar concept used by modern web apps).
The LockDirect website itself sets the following:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| None at present. | — | The site is presently fully static and does not set any first-party cookies. | — |
If we add features that require first-party cookies in the future (e.g. saving form progress between visits), we'll list them here.
To keep the site fast and lightweight, we load a few resources from external services. These services may set their own cookies under their own terms:
| Provider | What it does | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used across the site (Bricolage Grotesque, Plus Jakarta Sans). | policies.google.com/privacy |
| OpenStreetMap | Loads the interactive map on each area page (e.g. the Manchester or Stockport page). | OSM privacy policy |
| Unsplash | Provides the placeholder photos used in the "On the job" section of the homepage. | unsplash.com/privacy |
| Web3Forms | Receives lead submissions from the dispatch form and forwards them to our inbox. | web3forms.com/privacy-policy |
You can manage and delete cookies through your browser's settings:
Blocking all third-party cookies and resources should not break this site's core function (you can still submit the dispatch form and call us), but maps and fonts may not display.
If we add any features that change how cookies are used, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
